Buy West, Eat Best
Background
Buy West, Eat Best is a bi-annual sponsored advertising feature that runs in The West Australian. Supported by the West Australian state government, the organisation serves to highlight and promote local produce and food to the state audience, compelling people to buy and eat local. As a sponsor of the event, the newspaper offered discounted rates to all members of the organisation.
Project background
It was my job to pitch, sell, concept and produce multiple advertisements for a wide variety of different organisations and businesses, big and small. Many of these organisations do not advertise regularly, and if they do it will be small organic social media offerings. As such, it was my job to convince prospective clients that this was a good investment, and create copy and materials that would justify the ad spend.

Process
Starting from the prospecting stage, I contacted many different companies and members of the organisation to sell the advertising space. Once sold, I worked with the clients to work on what they wanted to get out there, how they wanted to say it and any special calls to action that might work for them. From there, I designed, proofed, and ammended copy all to their liking, whilst being under the strict timeframe of a looming print publication.
Work
Sadly, due to no longer being at the publication and changing computers, I cannot access the original CMYK creatives. However, there are screenshots below, and by going to The West Australian's feature browser (linked below) you can see the designs in the context of the publication.
